Day 63 - Princeton Review CAT 4
I took the last full-length practice CAT off of the Princeton Review CD. It went okay: 720 (45Q, 45V). This is a decent score, but I would like to have seen something in the mid 700s since this is my last PR test. I guess it didn't help that I got the very first question wrong on the verbal section.
One thing that I'm concerned about is my quantitative score. For the real exam, I believe that I need to be scoring around 47-50 in order to have a fair shot at my goal of 750+. So far the highest quantitative performance I've had on any given practice test is 46. Morever, since I hear that the quantitative section on the actual GMAT is a bit harder than can be seen on OG, I'm feeling a little nervous.
But it's Friday, so I'm not going to worry about it until Monday. Enjoy the weekend!
SUMMARY OF DAY 63 WORK:
1. Princeton Review CAT 4, off of PR CD.
2. Flashcards.
RECAP OF DAY 63 INSIGHTS:
1. I hope my quant is much better on the real GMAT, or else I won't reach my goal.
Labels: Practice Tests
congrats on the score man..getting closer and closer to your score..for more quant practice i'd suggest either vstudy or 1000ps from downdowndown.net..
btw you dont study on weekends you lucky dog ?
Thanks for the tips--I haven't run out of problems just yet...
And yeah, I've stopped studying on the weekends because I found that doing so makes me insane.
Hey Eric,
I think you need not fret about your quant too much. Princeton scoring system seems to be different from ETS's.
I took a princeton CAT today myself and scored 740 (47Q, V46). I got only one qn wrong (qn. 36) in quant but still my score went down to 47. I recall however that I managed to score 50Q in my PP1 test despite getting 1 non-experimental qn [4 in all] wrong! Weird..
I think a lot of it is psychology for me. I'm not a naturally math-friendly person, so I feel a bit insecure about how well I will do on quant.
Also, I had a lot more than just 1 quant question wrong on my Princeton CAT...
Hey Eric,
What are the flash cards that you are talking about man ? I am making my own notes in Word which kinda sux cos I have to scroll through the entire stuff everytime..Ne pointers on what the flash cards are ?
Cnu:
My flashcards are much more low-tech. I just went to Wal-Mart and bought a few sets of blank, cardboard flashcards. As I read through material, I write a note or a concept down on each flashcard in pen. Pretty simple and easy to review.
Best of luck!
