G-Day Result: 720 (96th Percentile)
First of all, I want to thank everyone who supported me throughout this prep process. Your support did mean a lot to me!
I took my GMAT today, and I scored a 720 (90th Percentile Quantitative; 85th Percentile Verbal; 96th Percentile Overall). I'm satisfied with the overall score, but I'm a bit concerned about my poor verbal performance. There is an 11 point difference between my scaled quantitative score and my scaled verbal score (verbal was under 40). Ideally, I wished to have more balanced scores.
During the test, I simply lost my focus when I got into the verbal section, and I don't think I performed to my potential. At least my quant score turned out to be very good!
I'm going to wait and see how my AWAs turn out. If I get a 5.0+, I'm definitely not going to retake the test because my essays at that point should demonstrate that I do indeed have strong verbal abilities.
Anyway, I'm slightly pissed, slightly happy, and very relieved. I didn't reach my goal of 750+, but that's okay. This score should keep me competitive for the top MBA programs I will eventually apply to.
In the near future, I'll write a detailed follow up of my test experience, as well as a summary and reflection of this entire prep process.
Thanks again for reading!

hey congrats on the score buddy..do le t me know about your entire experience..was the verbal more difficult than OG or did you just panic?..
WOW!!!!
Not your goal but nonetheless a well earned one. I must say I continually check your site every hour after 2pm to see whether or not you posted your result and well here it is a 720 man that’s awesome. I do hope that your AWA turns out just as good or even better. As I mentioned before you'll get into a top 5 business school, for the sole fact that you believe in yourself and so do many others.
I am now attempting to follow your method of studying, we all have weak areas and it’s in these areas I wish to strengthen. You’ve studying diligently and aggressively, I am proud to know that yes I’ve talked to a 95% + GMAT achiever and it’s so encouraging.
As for me my test is schedule for January and until that day come I’ll be studying my hearth out, I have much to achieve and many goals to reach, and you my friend are now on a journey in which each decision is one worth living. I know your application period will be very trilling and exhausting, however YOU CAN DO IT!

Congratulations!!! I know you expected to do better with your preparation but 720 is an extremely good score and you should be proud.
Congrats! Don't fret. A 720 is a very competitive score; I don't think you should even consider retaking this stupid thing. The GMAT is only one part of the application process; more important are the essays and interview (both are great channels to demonstrate your verbal prowess).
- Your sis, who also happens to be a Kellogg alum and thinks she knows what she's talking about.
Eric, you are in great place, remember that GMAT is not the only thing that is important, there is also your essay and interview, there you can really show your real verbal potential. One great thing about this blog, is that you have learned about how to organize your ideas, and thoughts, how to express yourself to others, and believe me, that is not easy. I know that great things are waiting for you. =)
Congratulations. Seems like you put too much pressure on yourself or something. I'm sure your curious as I am what you could get if you took it again for grins. Anyway... good job. You really took this thing by the horns.
Congratulations. I am checking this site in the afternoon from office to see your result. Its definetely a competitive score even though its slightly less than what you expected.
Best of luck for your apps.
Looking forward to see your test experience and your thoughts on the various sources of the books/materials used.
Congratulations !
720 is definitely a decent score !
Isnt the relief of having completed this thing phenomenal ?
wow

720 is a very very good score. : )

CONGRATULATIONS ERIC,
720 is an awesome score, Good luck in all your endeavours
Eric,
This is great, wonderfull, please let me know how you can get that point, I am sure if you can do I can do too.
Hey thats great! I 'd be sitting in 2morrow ! My verbal is not too good! I consistently get 36-37 only :( but in Maths would get 50 almost always! Would that make me cross 700?
Hi again, I posted last entry! I didn' t realize that this post was so old!
Anyways, I did give gmat and crossed 700. Its 740 actually. So anyone who wants to compare scaled score to actual gmat ..My math was 50 and verbal 40.
It's funny that people are getting 720 any yet still manage to get pissed.
